Charities, social enterprises, cooperatives, mutuals and other civil society groups can benefit from collaborating with the research we fund through collaboration opportunities.
Civil society research
Our current and recent large investments have covered a diverse range of topics relevant to civil society.
Current investments include the UK Civil Society Almanac (takes you to the Almanac website). The Almanac provides a snapshot of what voluntary organisations do, their income and spending, workforce, volunteering and impact.
Previous investments include:
- Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD)/Civil Society (2014-2019)
- Productive Margins: Regulation for Engagement (2013-2018)
- Third Sector Research Centre
- Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy.
Resources for third sector collaboration
Christian Aid and the Institute of Educational Technology at the Open University have produced a discussion guide and toolkit to help third sector organisations and academics to work together effectively.
