Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAAs) provide UK research organisations (ROs) that have a strong base of social sciences research with funding to support impact. This funding allows ROs to work with partners from all sectors to apply social sciences knowledge to challenges in society.
There are 32 UK organisations with ESRC IAAs. Each offers opportunities for social science research collaboration with partners and communities. These partners range from multinational corporations, governments and policymakers to community groups. Collaborations can be formal partnerships or informal knowledge exchange activities.
Many IAAs provide opportunities for partners and collaborators to help build links with researchers and ROs through projects and training.
Individual IAA projects range in scale from a few hundred pounds to tens of thousands of pounds each.
