UKRI is committed to gender equality within its workforce, and across the research and innovation system as part of its wider focus on equality, diversity and inclusion.
This gender equality plan:
- sets out how UKRI and its centres, institutes and units meet the requirements for Horizon Europe
- outlines specific actions that will be taken between 2022 and 2026 to support gender equality, alongside milestones and measures of success.
The publication of this gender equality plan is a mandatory eligibility requirement to access Horizon Europe funding. We have followed the guidance provided by Horizon Europe to do this.
Universities and organisations that are separate legal entities from UKRI require their own separate gender equality plan.
