Senior Research Adviser
Dr Charlotte Sausman is a senior research adviser at the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Charlotte is currently leading the project to manage the impact and engagement of the ESRC’s COVID-19 research portfolio, which represents around 200 projects funded through UKRI’s COVID-19 response call. This includes monitoring and evaluation of the portfolio as well as supporting stakeholder engagement. Her work also involves providing strategic advice on ESRC’s current Education Priority around improving outcomes, and developing an impact strategy for ESRC’s Data and Infrastructure investments.
Charlotte joined ESRC from the University of Cambridge in October 2020 where she led on social science research impact for the University’s REF2021 submission, and previously developed a strategic research initiative on public policy for the university. She holds a Doctorate in Politics from Newcastle University, a Masters degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of York and an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge.
