The scope and what we're doing

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) brings together major international research funding agencies to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases on low and middle income countries, and vulnerable populations in high-income countries.

Through the alliance, MRC supports and funds research projects that focus on the prevention and management of chronic diseases in low and middle income countries.
