Funding opportunity: Pre-announcement: diagnostics and surveillance of antimicrobial resistance (JPIAMR)

Apply for funding for transnational research and innovation consortia to develop innovative strategies, tools, technologies and methods for diagnostics and surveillance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

We are looking to combine researchers and innovators from multiple countries. Projects should support the development or improvement of existing strategies, tools, technologies, and methods for either:

  • diagnosis of AMR
  • detection, collection, analysis and use of data on AMR and use to support the prudent and rational use of antimicrobials

Who can apply

Applicants from UK based organisations eligible for MRC, BBSRC, EPSRC or Innovate UK funding can apply as part of a transnational consortium of researchers and innovators.

To date, 18 countries are participating in this joint funding opportunity.

Submitting your application

Deadline

JPIAMR must receive your application by 7 March 2023 (time to be confirmed).

You should ensure you are aware of and follow any internal institutional deadlines that may be in place.

Attachments

For applicants to MRC, BBSRC and EPSRC: your application must also include the following attachments:

  • UK Research and Innovation budget proforma (all applicants)
  • use of animals overseas (for projects where any member of the consortium uses animals outside of the UK)

For applicants for Innovate UK funding: the requirements will be confirmed at a later date.
